Emily Kappes is a 21-year-old California native pursuing a degree in Art History and Journalism at Northwestern University. With extensive experience in deadline-driven projects, branding, and copywriting, she is passionate about using digital media and creative strategy to promote and expand the public image of a brand.
This summer, Ms. Kappes is working as an intern at both Sleepy Jones and Paul Kasmin. Previously, Ms. Kappes served as a gallery intern at Gagosian Gallery's W. 24th Street location in New York.
Her work has been featured on a variety of online platforms over the past several years, including V Magazine, Teen Vogue, J. Crew, and Northwestern's fashion and lifestyle publication, STITCH Magazine. Ms. Kappes has also previously organized multimedia collaborations with Glossier, Stella & Dot and Warby Parker.
In her free time, Ms. Kappes can most likely be found at a contemporary art museum or a floral shop. She also enjoys The New York Times, learning Italiano & Français, any work by Marcel DuChamp, Gucci ad campaigns, nice paper & spending time with very fluffy cats.
